I have 20 years’ experience working within the legal industry and as a result, have gained excellent skills as a legal secretary and transcriptionist.
I now work from my home office as a professional transcriptionist and legal secretary, providing quality, accurate and timely administrative and transcription services remotely to a number of firms, including the legal and investigative industries. I have been working on a contractual basis for a transcription business located in Brisbane for the last years, the majority of which is transcription of investigation interviews for insurance companies, workplace investigations and other research interviews, conferences and focus groups.
Most recently, in December of 2020, I gained a 3-year contract as a casual transcriptionist with a government agency, for which I will be providing casual transcription on an ad-hoc basis.
I have also worked as a preferred supplier of transcription services to a business located in Brisbane, in which I transcribe records of interview and phone calls for major insurance companies. As part of my contractual conditions for this business, I have had to undergo necessary police checks, an ASIC probity check, and I have completed the Australian Government OAIC privacy training.
I also regularly complete ad-hoc dictation for a number of solicitors, barristers, and law firms, where I am required to type correspondence, court documents, statements, submissions, affidavits and other legal documentation.
